Thanks to a dominant performance from start to finish, CSKA Moscow beat Real Madrid (70-94) and claimed the third place in the Euroleague.

Nando De Colo scored 13 points for the “Bear”, while five more players scored in double digits. On the other hand, Jonas Maciulis and Gustavo Ayon (six rebounds as well) scored 11 points each for the “Whites”, who played very badly, both defensively and offensively.

CSKA took control of the game from the beginning and quickly earned a double-digit advantage (8-18), playing very well on both ends of the floor and ending the first quarter in front by 13 (10-23).

Later, things didn’t change much, with the Russians playing excellent defence and extending their lead to 20 points in the second quarter (20-40).

However, Real responded and were down by 13 at the end of the first half (32-45), behind a 12-5 run of their own.

In the second half, the situation remained the same, as Dimitris Itoudis’ players were easily retaining their double-digit advantage (49-39, 61-46, 65-53) and closed the third quarter in front by 13 (56-69).
