During post-game press conference, Olympiacos’ coach, Giannis Sfairopoulos, was very happy for his squad’s victory against the defending champions, with the “Reds” qualifying to the Final for the fourth time in the last six years.

“It was important that we made some big shots in the fourth quarter and we were very concentrated, when we took the lead, and played effectively to control the rhythm,” he added.

Now, the Greek coach has his sights set on the match against Fenerbahce: “After leaving the stadium, we have to focus on the championship game, congratulations to the fans for supporting us, we always play as a team.”

On the other hand, CSKA Moscow’s head coach, Dimitris Itoudis, said this was a tough moment for his team, although they knew this could happen, and they now need to stay together.

“We couldn’t keep the lead, Olympiacos’ players were more fighting on the boards, while their second unit played very well, it was a close game,” he mentioned.
