The 7DAYS EuroCup Semifinals are set with Liga Endesa sides Unicaja Malaga and Valencia Basket both winning  their deciding games of the best-of-three quarterfinals series on Wednesday to advance and stay in the hunt for the EuroCup crown.

Unicaja will meet Lokomotiv Kuban Krasnodar in the next stage, while Valencia takes on Hapoel Bank Yahav Jerusalem.

FC Bayern Munich vs. Unicaja Malaga (1-2)

Unicaja Malaga will play in the semifinals in its first season in the competition after holding off a late FC Bayern Munich charge to win 69-74 at Audi Dome. Unicaja dropped the opener in Munich before taking the last two games. Nemanja Nedovic led the winners with 21 points and 4 assists and Dejan Musli added 16 points and drew 9 fouls. Unicaja outrebounded the competition’s top rebounding team 31-32 and held Bayern’s top two scorers, Devin Booker and Nick Johnson, to a combined 4 points on 2 of 10 shooting. Bayern made only 5 of 23 three-pointers (21.7%). Reggie Redding paced the Bayern attack with 15 points.

Valencia Basket vs. Khimki Moscow Region (2-1)

Valencia Basket advanced to the EuroCup Semifinals for the seventh time in club history by downing Khimki Moscow Region 92-76 in front of a sell-out crowd of 8,500 at Fuente de San Luis arena. Valencia made the most of its home-court advantage, winning both of its home games in the series. Sam Van Rossom paced the winners with 17 points and Bojan Dubljevic posted 16 points and 11 rebounds. Alexey Shved led Khimki with 21 points on 6-of-19 shooting. Valencia outrebounded Khimki 36-26 and shot well – 25 of 39 on two-point shots (64.1%) and 11 of 27 from downtown (40.7%) – to win the game and keep fighting for EuroCup glory.
