Unics Kazan added another potent scorer to the mix with the signing of Danilo Andjusic from fellow Russian side Parma Perm. The contract, which will go into effect after the player passes his physical examination, is for the remainder of this season with an option for the 2017-18 campaign.
Andjusic (1.95 meters, 25 years old) ranks fourth in the VTB United League in scoring this season with 19.8 points over 15 games this season. He has also posted 3.8 rebounds and 3.7 assists per game and was selected to the World Stars roster for the VTB All-Star Game. Andjusic erupted for a season-high 40 points on 6-of-7 three-point shooting against Unics in December.
Andjusic has previous EuroLeague experience in the form of 17 games with Partizan Belgrade of his native Serbia between 2011 and 2013. He has also played for Hemofarm Vrsac and Mega Vizura in Serbia, Virtus Bologna in Italy, Valladolid and Bilbao in Spain and Anwil Wloclawek in Poland.
Andjusic played for Serbia at both the junior and senior levels. He competed at EuroBasket 2013 and won gold medals at both 2007 U16 European Championship and 2009 U18 European Championship.
