Real Madrid is facing one of the only two teams to which they suffered defeats so far in the season, Khimki and according to their coach Ettore Messina the key to the win will be good defense.

They are also a strong, physical team." and predicted the key to win the game: "We must play good defense, and prevent them from getting easy points in the low post and in penetration. Lithuanian international Rimas Kaukenas hailed the Russian team: "We already lost against Khimki on the road and this is why it is very important for us to win this game by a bigger difference that they beat us in October. Beating Khimki will not be an easy task. Khimki is a great team that is in great shape these days. We must be able to make up the mistakes we made in Russia if we want to beat them on Wednesday." and the proceeded to adopt his coach's opinion: "We have to improve our defense and play stronger and more aggressive. Taking all that into account, I believe that this game will be a tough, important test for us."
