Finland international Petteri Koponen was unveiled in front of the Barcelona fans and media today with the goal of winning everything with the club this season.
Koponen also looks forward to reuniting with Tyrese Rice, who were both team-mates at BC Khimki last season. They forged a successful partnership with the Russian team and will hope to be even more successful in Catalonia.
It’s a great honour to be a part of this club”, Koponen said. “Everything goes pretty well and everyone that works here is fantastic. We have a lot of job ahead of us, but we are already on the right track.”
Speaking about Rice, the Finn added: “We can Indeed we can play very well when we are together on court, since we have a pretty good chemistry.
“We can play with or without the ball. It depends on what the coach wants.”
A 2015 EuroCup winner, Koponen shot 42 percent from the field last season with Khimki, only averaging eight points which was a team low for him.
But it won’t matter to Koponen just how much he averages, his goal with Barcelona is winning.
“I want to win everything,” he simply claimed.
