Tyrese Maxey, Jaylen Brown lead 76ers past Bulls

The Philadelphia 76ers extended their winning streak to four games with a 126-107 victory over the Chicago Bulls on Monday night at Xfinity Mobile Arena. Tyrese Maxey scored a game-high 26 points, including 15 in the fourth quarter, as the Eastern Conference leaders improved to 7-1.

Philadelphia had its full starting lineup available for the first time after back-to-back weekend wins over the New York Knicks and Charlotte Hornets without the five-man group of LeBron James, Jaylen Brown, Joel Embiid, Maxey and VJ Edgecombe.

Brown finished with 25 points and 11 rebounds, while Edgecombe added 21 points on 9-of-12 shooting. James recorded 15 points, nine assists and seven rebounds, and Embiid contributed 15 points and eight rebounds despite entering the game questionable with a foot injury.

The 76ers established control in the third quarter, outscoring Chicago 26-20 to turn a five-point halftime advantage into a 17-point lead. James’ layup made it 85-68 with just under five minutes remaining in the period.
