Jason Timpf skeptical about Bam Adebayo’s shooting

Jason Timpf has concerns about whether Bam Adebayo of the Miami Heat can become the type of reliable perimeter shooter needed alongside Giannis Antetokounmpo.

Adebayo has increased his three-point volume in recent seasons, but Timpf believes simply taking more outside shots does not guarantee that he will eventually become an efficient shooter.

“Bam has a interesting recent track record as a shooter. He’s taking a sh*t ton of them, he’s not making them. It’s either going to be hard work pays off and he starts making shots, or it’s going to continue to be incremental.

“What freaks me out with Bam is touch isn’t his best trait. Like layups, hooks, floaters, things along those lines. He’s just not good as a touch player. I’m skeptical Bam will develop into the type of shooter that Giannis needs.”
