The Portland Trail Blazers have no intention of buying out Jrue Holiday despite acquiring Ja Morant this offseason, according to Marc Stein of The Stein Line.

Instead, Portland is expected to keep the veteran guard on its roster as the team prepares for the upcoming campaign.

The update follows reports from May indicating that Holiday hoped to remain with the Trail Blazers for another season, a scenario that now appears increasingly likely.

Holiday has played 17 seasons for 5 teams, including the Pelicans and 76ers. He has averaged 15.9 points, 6.2 assists, and 4.2 rebounds in 1,090 regular-season games.

He was selected to play in 2 All-Star games, and has won 2 NBA championships.
