Zeljko Obradovic explains Panathinaikos return

Zeljko Obradovic says his close relationship with the Giannakopoulos family was the biggest reason behind his decision to return as Panathinaikos head coach.

Speaking to the club’s official media, the legendary Serbian coach described the bond with owner Dimitris Giannakopoulos as one built on trust and family values.

“Without any question. Our relationship has always been like a family. Dimitris wants to do everything for Panathinaikos.

“Our conversation was very open, we both understood this was the right opportunity, and once again I want to thank him for bringing me back.”
