The Denver Nuggets are parting ways with veteran center Jonas Valanciunas, waiving him even though his $10 million salary for the upcoming season became fully guaranteed today, according to league sources cited by HoopsHype.

As a result of the move, Denver will remain responsible for paying Valanciunas $2 million during the 2026/27 season.

Valanciunas has played 14 seasons for 6 teams, including the Raptors and Pelicans. He has averaged 12.8 points and 9.0 rebounds in 1,002 regular-season games.
