Gary Trent Jr. will enter free agency after deciding to decline his $3.9 million player option with the Milwaukee Bucks for the 2026-27 season.

The veteran guard is expected to attract interest from multiple teams on the open market following two seasons in Milwaukee.

Last season, Trent appeared in 65 games and averaged 8.1 points while shooting 36.0 percent from three-point range, continuing to provide reliable perimeter scoring and floor spacing.

Now represented by Rich Paul and Lucas Newton, the 27-year-old will have the opportunity to explore a potentially more lucrative contract as free agency gets underway.
