The Los Angeles Lakers are reportedly exploring the trade market for help at center and have shown interest in the New Orleans Pelicans big man Yves Missi.

However, New Orleans has thus far been unwilling to move the young center.

The Pelicans have entered the offseason with high asking prices on several players, and Missi appears to be among the assets they value highly.

Missi fits the type of center Los Angeles has been seeking alongside Luka Doncic.

The Lakers have prioritized adding a rim-running big who can finish lob opportunities in pick-and-roll situations while also providing rebounding and rim protection on the defensive end.

At 22 years old, Missi offers both immediate production and long-term value.

He also remains on his rookie-scale contract for the next two seasons, making him an attractive target for teams looking to strengthen their frontcourt without taking on a massive salary commitment.
