The future of Giannis Antetokounmpo continues to generate speculation, with Jake Fischer and Marc Stein reporting that the Milwaukee Bucks are expected to complete a trade involving the superstar before the NBA Draft on June 23.
According to the report, Milwaukee is operating under the assumption that it will acquire at least one additional first-round pick alongside its current No. 10 selection as part of any deal.
The Bucks are also reportedly in no rush to finalize a move before the conclusion of the NBA Finals.
Team officials are said to be monitoring the series closely, particularly the possibility of the Knicks surrendering their 2-0 lead, which could potentially reopen trade discussions involving New York.
The Miami Heat are believed to be Antetokounmpo’s preferred destination, while the Boston Celtics remain another team linked to the two-time MVP.
Milwaukee is also exploring ways to involve the Portland Trail Blazers in a larger multi-team transaction, with the goal of recovering some of the draft assets that were moved in the Damian Lillard trade before the 2023-24 season.
