The Philadelphia 76ers were reportedly denied permission to interview Onsi Saleh as part of their search for a new lead basketball executive.

Philadelphia had interest in speaking with Saleh about a top front-office role, but the Atlanta Hawks chose not to make him available.

Saleh previously worked in the Golden State Warriors organization under Bob Myers, who is now overseeing the Sixers’ executive search as president of Harris Blitzer Sports & Entertainment.

Atlanta originally hired Saleh as assistant general manager in 2024 before later promoting him to general manager following the dismissal of Landry Fields.

Saleh also received major recognition around the league this season, finishing second behind Brad Stevens in Executive of the Year voting for 2025-26.
