The Dallas Mavericks have reportedly decided to part ways with head coach Jason Kidd following the arrival of new president of basketball operations Masai Ujiri.

According to reports, Ujiri and Mavericks owner Patrick Dumont reached the decision this week to make a coaching change.

Kidd still had four years remaining on his contract with Dallas, worth more than $40 million in total.

The move signals the beginning of a new direction for the Mavericks under Ujiri’s leadership.
