Real Madrid Baloncesto is reportedly finalizing the signing of Ömer Yurtseven after injuries to Edy Tavares and Alex Len left the team short on frontcourt depth.

BasketNews previously reported that negotiations were at an advanced stage, while Pilar Casado later confirmed that only a medical examination remains before the deal becomes official.

Yurtseven is expected to stay with Real Madrid through the end of the season, though he will not be eligible for the EuroLeague Final Four because the player registration deadline has already passed.

He will, however, be available for Liga Endesa playoff games.

The Turkish center most recently played for Panathinaikos B.C., averaging 6.3 points and 3.5 rebounds in 19 EuroLeague appearances.

After leaving Panathinaikos in February, Yurtseven returned to the United States and later appeared in nine NBA games with the Golden State Warriors.
