The Milwaukee Bucks are reportedly open to listening to trade offers for two-time MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo, according to Shams Charania of ESPN.
Ownership is said to be hoping for clarity on the situation before the NBA Draft takes place on June 23-24.
Milwaukee’s asking price reportedly remains extremely high, with the organization seeking either a young franchise-level talent, a large package of future draft picks, or potentially both in any deal involving Antetokounmpo.
“Sometime over the next six or seven weeks we’ll decide whether Giannis is going to sign a max contract and stay with us or he’s going to play somewhere else,” co-owner Jimmy Haslam said Wednesday.
“And Jon and Taylor, along with Wes and myself, will make that call and we understand the gravity of that call.”
According to the report, Antetokounmpo’s stance regarding his future has not changed, with sources indicating that both sides continue to believe a separation may be approaching.
The possibility of leaving Milwaukee reportedly first surfaced around the 2025 NBA Draft lottery and combine last year.
Sources also stated that Antetokounmpo later showed interest in potentially joining the New York Knicks during the summer, though those discussions eventually lost momentum.
The Bucks struggled throughout the 2025-26 season, finishing with a 32-50 record and failing to reach the playoffs for the first time in nearly a decade.
Injuries also limited Antetokounmpo’s availability, as he appeared in only 36 games because of groin, calf and knee issues.
Despite the injuries, the 31-year-old still produced at a high level, averaging 27.6 points, 9.8 rebounds and 5.4 assists per game.
