There will reportedly be no further disciplinary action against San Antonio Spurs star Victor Wembanyama following his ejection during Sunday night’s game against the Minnesota Timberwolves, according to Shams Charania of ESPN.

Wembanyama was thrown out of Game 4 after officials upgraded his foul on Naz Reid to a Flagrant 2 for an elbow to the face and neck area.

Despite the ejection, the NBA has decided not to issue any additional penalties stemming from the incident.

The decision comes after Spurs head coach Mitch Johnson strongly defended Wembanyama following the game, arguing there was no harmful intent behind the play and criticizing the level of physicality allowed throughout the series.
