The Milwaukee Bucks are reportedly continuing to explore ways to strengthen their roster in hopes of convincing Giannis Antetokounmpo to remain with the franchise long term, according to Shams Charania.

Milwaukee is expected to stay active on the trade market this offseason and could use several movable contracts along with future draft assets in an effort to build a more competitive team around the two-time MVP.

“The Bucks are also leaving the door open to pursue a major trade to convince Antetokounmpo to stay once again, allowing Horst to work parallel paths.”

According to the report, the Bucks may have access to as many as three first-round picks that could be included in trade discussions.

Veteran players such as Bobby Portis and Kyle Kuzma are also viewed as potential trade pieces as Milwaukee searches for roster upgrades.

“They will have up to three first-round picks and tradeable contracts such as Bobby Portis and Kyle Kuzma to offer in deals this offseason.”

One of the available draft selections would reportedly be the less favorable pick between Milwaukee’s own first-rounder and the New Orleans Pelicans’ selection this year.

“One of those first-rounders is the less favorable of their own or the New Orleans Pelicans’ this year.”

The organization continues to face pressure to maximize its roster around Antetokounmpo after another disappointing postseason exit.
