Bucks prioritize draft capital in Giannis Antetokounmpo discussions

As the NBA Draft approaches, the Milwaukee Bucks have reportedly made it known that additional draft assets will be a major factor in its evaluation of trade proposals.

According to Sam Amick and Eric Nehm of The Athletic, the Bucks expect to receive extra draft picks in any Antetokounmpo deal, with tradeable first-round selections expected to play a central role in negotiations.

Bucks co-owner Jimmy Haslam has publicly identified June 23, the date of the NBA Draft, as the preferred deadline for resolving Antetokounmpo’s future.

Whether rival teams become more aggressive as that date nears remains one of the key questions hanging over the offseason’s biggest storyline.
