Masai Ujiri has agreed to join the Dallas Mavericks as team president and alternate governor, per ESPN, ending a six-month search that began after Nico Harrison was dismissed.

A press conference with governor Patrick Dumont is scheduled for Tuesday.

Ujiri brings a strong résumé, including building the Toronto Raptors’ 2019 championship team and winning Executive of the Year with the Denver Nuggets.

He did not hold an NBA role this past season after leaving Toronto.

Dallas finished 26-56 and holds two first-round picks in the upcoming draft, including a lottery selection.

The team also cleared salary by trading Anthony Davis and moving D’Angelo Russell and Jaden Hardy.

Co-interim GMs Michael Finley and Matt Riccardi will not keep the job, with their future to be decided after talks with Ujiri.
