Taylor Jenkins is on the verge of landing the head coaching role with the Milwaukee Bucks.
Before his time as head coach of the Memphis Grizzlies, he had a stint on Milwaukee’s staff during the 2018–19 campaign working alongside Mike Budenholzer.
He is expected to step in for Doc Rivers after being away from coaching throughout the 2025–26 season.
That break came after Memphis parted ways with him following the 2024–25 season.
The Bucks traveled to meet Jenkins in Memphis recently, and he quickly became the organization’s primary focus.
Meanwhile, Milwaukee is also dealing with uncertainty surrounding Giannis Antetokounmpo, as the franchise considers whether to continue building around its star or explore a full reset through a potential trade.
Among the coaches available this offseason, Jenkins was widely regarded as the leading candidate across the league.
