The Golden State Warriors big man Al Horford is set to miss his 14th straight game on Thursday while continuing to recover from a right calf strain, but there are encouraging signs regarding his return.

Head coach Steve Kerr said Horford took part in a full 5-on-5 scrimmage Wednesday and is hopeful the 39-year-old will be available for Friday’s matchup against Sacramento, per Nick Friedell of The Athletic.

There is also optimism surrounding Kristaps Porzingis (general illness injury management, right knee soreness), who has been sidelined since Tuesday and will miss Thursday’s game as well, but could return Friday.

Regarding Stephen Curry, Kerr noted the star guard is in good shape and is expected to suit up Friday, Friedell adds.
