The Utah Jazz have signed point guard Kennedy Chandler to a second 10-day contract, NBA insider Michael Scotto reported Wednesday. Chandler has averaged 14.2 points and 6.8 assists in six appearances this season.
Chandler, 23, has played significant minutes for the Jazz, logging 32.3 per game and shooting 43.1% from the field. His three-point accuracy stands at 36.4%, and he has contributed 3.2 rebounds per game.
The Jazz have faced extensive injury issues this season. Key players including Lauri Markkanen, Jusuf Nurkic, Jaren Jackson Jr., Walker Kessler, and Isaiah Collier have missed extended time. Chandler’s presence helps offset these absences, particularly at the point guard position while Isaiah Collier remains day-to-day with a hamstring strain.
In the G League, Chandler has averaged 20.4 points and 9.6 assists over 14 games with the Delaware Blue Coats. Utah has leaned on his playmaking to maintain competitiveness despite a 21–55 record, the lowest in the Western Conference.
Chandler joins other guards such as Keyonte George, who is sidelined with a hamstring injury, and Isaiah Collier, highlighting the team’s need for depth at the point.
