Leonard Miller has quickly transitioned from a limited role in Minnesota to becoming a meaningful contributor for the Chicago Bulls, making the most of the opportunity that came with the change, as Julia Poe of the Chicago Tribune writes.
The shift has been significant, but Miller has handled it with confidence.
“This has never happened for me before,” Miller said. “But I just knew – like, I wanted to carve out a role with this group. So it’s new, but at the same time it doesn’t feel like anything crazy. This is what I’m born to do.”
Over his last 10 games, Miller has been productive, averaging 13.1 points and 7.0 rebounds while playing 26.5 minutes per night.
He also pointed to Matas Buzelis, a former teammate from their time with G League Ignite, as someone who has helped him adjust smoothly to his new surroundings.
Miller has played 3 seasons for the Timberwolves and Bulls. He has averaged 4.1 points and 2.2 rebounds in 68 regular-season games.
