Leonard Miller, who was acquired from Minnesota at the deadline, made his third start Thursday since joining the Chicago Bulls and continues to deliver strong production.
In 31 minutes of action, he recorded 15 points and nine rebounds, following another productive outing Tuesday when he posted 17 points and 11 rebounds across 38 minutes. Miller has quickly made an impact in Chicago’s rotation since arriving.
The Bulls currently hold a $2.4MM team option on Miller for next season, and Joe Cowley of The Chicago Sun-Times notes that it may make sense to maintain Miller in a similar role even after Patrick Williams returns from his ankle injury.
His recent performances have strengthened the case for keeping him involved in the lineup moving forward.
“I’m always ready to go out there and compete at a high level,” Miller said. “I think I demonstrated that and that’s what I’m going to continue to demonstrate.
“Me playing at a high level and having a good game, I’m kind of not surprised because I have that belief in myself, I’m confident, and I feel like the sky is the limit with me.”
ICYMI: The Bulls aren’t winning very often, but they still aren’t tanking and that isn’t likely to change. That + more from Chicago. https://t.co/6Qpol64FU5
