The New York Knicks forward Mohamed Diawara saw limited action on Tuesday, logging just six minutes, his lowest playing time in nearly a month, as Jordan Clarkson took over his spot in the rotation.

After the game, head coach Mike Brown explained that Clarkson has been earning those minutes with his recent offensive play, also commending the veteran for staying prepared despite receiving several DNP-CDs in recent weeks.

“We’ll continue to see what happens going forward,” Brown said, per Ian Begley of SNY.tv. “We’ve all had the pleasure of being able to see Mo at a young age contribute a lot. He just has to keep himself ready like Jordan did.

“Go out there when your number’s called, don’t do too much but do what you can do and perform at the highest level in terms of your work ethic, focus and attention to detail and just go from there.”

Clarkson has played 12 seasons for 4 teams, including the Jazz and Lakers. He has averaged 15.5 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 2.8 assists in 813 regular-season games.

He has won 1 Sixth Man of the Year award.
