Jayson Tatum will not play in Thursday’s matchup against the Oklahoma City Thunder, as the Boston Celtics have ruled him out due to right Achilles injury management.

The star forward had appeared in three straight games after making his return last week against the Dallas Mavericks following a torn Achilles.

Boston has carefully managed his workload since his comeback.

Across those three games, Tatum has averaged 19.7 points, 6.7 rebounds and 3.7 assists while playing 27.0 minutes per contest.

Notably, he logged exactly 27 minutes in each of those appearances.

The Celtics have gone 2-1 in the games since Tatum returned to the lineup.
