The Utah Jazz are signing rookie guard Bez Mbeng to a 10-day contract, according to Jake Fischer of The Stein Line.

Mbeng, who went undrafted in 2025 out of Yale, has spent this season with the Sioux Falls Skyforce, the Miami Heat’s G League affiliate.

In 41 games, he has averaged 6.5 points, 5.0 rebounds, 3.8 assists and 1.8 steals while playing 27.5 minutes per contest.

The 6-foot-4 guard briefly signed a training camp deal with the Heat in October before being waived and joining Sioux Falls.

Known for his defense, Mbeng earned Ivy League Defensive Player of the Year honors in each of his final three college seasons and was also named the conference’s Player of the Year in 2024/25.

In his final year at Yale, he averaged 13.0 points, 5.8 assists, 5.6 rebounds and 1.8 steals in 29 games while shooting .429 from the field and .368 from three.

He helped lead the Bulldogs to three NCAA tournament appearances and finished his career as the program’s all-time steals leader.

Utah currently has Mo Bamba and Andersson Garcia on 10-day deals, so the team will need to open a roster spot to officially sign Mbeng.
