Brooklyn Nets guard Egor Demin will miss the remainder of the 2025-26 season due to worsening plantar fasciitis in his left foot, according to NBA insider Michael Scotto

The 20-year-old point guard is expected to return to basketball activities early in the offseason and participate fully in summer development programs.

Demin has appeared in 52 games this season, starting 45, and is averaging 10.3 points, 3.3 assists, and 3.2 rebounds in 25.2 minutes per game. He has shot 38.5% from three-point range and 39.9% overall, providing the Nets with scoring and playmaking from the backcourt.

The Nets, currently 13th in the Eastern Conference with a 17-47 record, will need other young players to step up in the final stretch.

Michael Porter Jr. leads the team with 24.3 points per game, while Nic Claxton contributes 12.3 points and 7.1 rebounds per contest.
