The Utah Jazz have brought back Mo Bamba on a second 10-day contract, the team announced, after his previous deal expired Saturday.

The former sixth overall draft pick was active for six games during his first stint but appeared in only two, averaging 5.0 points, 10.0 rebounds, and 1.0 block in 19 minutes per game during road matchups with the Philadelphia 76ers and Washington Wizards.

Bamba was unable to secure a guaranteed contract for next season, attended training camp with Utah, and was later waived before joining the team’s G League affiliate, the Salt Lake City Stars, where he has impressed.

In 22 appearances, the 27-year-old has averaged 17.0 points, 11.7 rebounds, and 2.5 blocks in 27.7 minutes while posting strong shooting splits of .553/.380/.807.

An eight-year veteran who also spent a brief period with the Toronto Raptors earlier this season, Bamba will earn $177,064 over the 10-day span, with Utah taking a $131,970 cap hit.

He can play in four more games before the contract expires March 17, when the Jazz must decide whether to sign him for the rest of the season or make him a free agent.
