Toronto Raptors’ struggles against elite competition remain troubling as the team continues pushing for postseason positioning, writes John Chidley-Hill of The Canadian Press.
Toronto has managed just one home victory in 13 games against opponents holding superior records, and the pattern has been worse against the league’s strongest clubs, with 14 losses in their past 15 matchups versus top-10 teams.
Brandon Ingram emphasized that late-game execution is the primary issue the team must solve, particularly when facing high-level opponents who consistently rely on clear, repeatable offensive strategies in crunch time.
“We’ve got to figure out our fourth-quarter execution, exactly what we want to go to,” Ingram said.
“I think every time we play a good team, they know exactly what they want to go to in the fourth quarter, and they do it over again and over again. The good thing is we’re in the games, but we’ve got to figure out how to finish the game.”
