Denver Nuggets star Nikola Jokic recently appeared on the Serbian basketball podcast X’s and O’s Chat, where he addressed a range of topics, including whether he could ever envision playing for another NBA franchise.

The three-time MVP made it clear that leaving Denver is not something he wants to consider.

“I wouldn’t like to imagine that. Even if we never win anything else after this, an organic title, it means more to me than anything,” Jokic said.

Jokic explained that his connection to the city goes far beyond basketball, noting that Denver has become central to both his personal and professional life.

“I really found peace here. My two kids were born here. Everyone’s here. Peace, home, I found my life here. And I like life here. I don’t feel the need, I don’t have the urge to. We built something here, together as a team.”

He also shared that, while he respects the level of competition overseas, he does not see himself returning to Europe to play professionally later in his career.
