
The Golden State Warriors and Utah Jazz enter Monday night’s matchup in Salt Lake City dealing with significant injury concerns, including multiple starters ruled out before tipoff at the Delta Center.
Golden State will be without Stephen Curry, who is sidelined with right patellofemoral pain syndrome. Curry has played 39 games this season and remains the Warriors’ top scorer at 27.2 points per game while shooting 39.1% from three-point range on 11.5 attempts per game.
The Warriors also remain without Jimmy Butler III, who is recovering from right ACL surgery. Butler has averaged 20.0 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 4.9 assists in 38 games this season.
Golden State’s injury report includes additional rotation pieces unavailable for the game.
Moses Moody is out with a right wrist sprain after appearing in 59 games and averaging 11.9 points while shooting 40.2% from three-point range.
Veteran big man Al Horford is also out due to left toe injury management, while Kristaps Porzingis is unavailable because of illness management after appearing in two games this season.
Forward Will Richard is listed as questionable with a right ankle sprain, while guard Seth Curry is probable despite left sciatic nerve irritation.
Golden State enters the contest with a 32-31 record, currently eighth in the Western Conference standings.
The Warriors split their last two games, defeating the Houston Rockets 115-113 in overtime on March 5 before falling 104-97 to the Oklahoma City Thunder on March 7.
Utah also faces a depleted lineup with several key players ruled out.
Lauri Markkanen will miss the game because of a right hip impingement. The Finnish forward leads the Jazz with 26.7 points per game and averages 6.9 rebounds across 42 appearances this season.
Utah will also be without starting center Walker Kessler, who is recovering from a left shoulder injury.
Additional frontcourt absences include Jusuf Nurkic, who remains out following a nose injury, and Jaren Jackson Jr., who is recovering from a left knee injury.
The Jazz could also be without two primary ball handlers. Isaiah Collier and Keyonte George are both listed as questionable due to illness.
George has been Utah’s leading guard scorer this season with 24.0 points and 6.3 assists per game in 52 starts.
Utah enters Monday’s game with a 19-45 record, placing 14th in the Western Conference standings.
The Warriors have won all three meetings between the teams this season, including victories of 134-117, 123-114, and 140-124.
