Stephen Curry scored 27 points and Moses Moody added 26 as the Golden State Warriors defeated the Utah Jazz 140-124 on Wednesday night at Delta Center.

Golden State knocked down 23 three-pointers and never trailed over the final three quarters, controlling the tempo with spacing and ball movement from the opening minutes.

Moody led the perimeter attack with five made threes, while Curry added four from deep and finished 9-of-10 at the free-throw line.

The Warriors shot 53 percent overall and went 23-of-54 from beyond the arc, generating consistent offense against Utah’s rotating defense.

Golden State built its first major cushion early in the second quarter, when Buddy Hield hit back-to-back three-pointers to cap a 19-8 run and push the lead to 40-24.

The visitors stretched the margin to 64-48 late in the second quarter on a three-pointer by Quinten Post, marking the third time the lead reached 16 before halftime.

Golden State entered the break with control after hitting 15 threes in the first half, with eight different players connecting from long range.

The Warriors extended the advantage to 22 points in the third quarter when Curry made two free throws to give Golden State a 91-69 lead.

Utah responded with a push late in the third period and trimmed the deficit to single digits entering the fourth quarter.

The Jazz cut the margin to 108-100 on two free throws by Isaiah Collier with 9:52 remaining, briefly threatening to shift momentum.

Curry answered with back-to-back baskets to restore a double-digit cushion, stabilizing the Warriors during the stretch.

Golden State then put the game away with a decisive 20-2 run, building a 136-109 lead with 3:29 left.

Gui Santos provided a boost off the bench with 16 points, while Brandin Podziemski contributed 11 points, eight rebounds, and seven assists.

Draymond Green did not score but finished with six assists, two blocks, and a plus-17 rating as Golden State’s defensive anchor.

Utah received 22 points off the bench from Brice Sensabaugh, while Keyonte George posted 19 points and seven assists.

Ace Bailey also scored 19 for the Jazz, and Lauri Markkanen finished with 18 points on 6-of-14 shooting.

The Jazz shot 49 percent from the field and 15-of-38 from three-point range, but struggled to contain Golden State’s volume and efficiency from deep.

With the win, the Warriors improved to 27-22 and remained eighth in the Western Conference standings.

Utah fell to 15-33 and stayed 13th in the West as defensive lapses continued to surface against high-volume shooting teams.

Golden State returns home to host Detroit on Saturday night, while the Jazz also play Saturday, welcoming Brooklyn to Salt Lake City.
