During the media session, Ja Morant of the Memphis Grizzlies provided an update on the elbow injury that has sidelined him for more than six weeks.
He explained that lingering discomfort remains, particularly when attempting certain passing motions.
“If I was basically whipping a pass to the opposite side with that hand is the biggest problem,” Morant said. “Other than that, I feel like I can fight through it, but also still have to be smart.”
The player said he is aiming to make a return before the season ends and does not believe he will need extensive conditioning time since the injury has not limited his lower body.
He also expressed confidence in his ability to mesh with Memphis’ evolving young core, noting that adapting to new teammates has never been an issue for him.
“The same I would fit with any other team,” Morant said. “Just whatever Ja brings to the table.”
