Darius Bazley has signed with the Ningbo Rockets of the Chinese Basketball Association, according to Dario Skerletic of Sportando, continuing his career overseas.
A five-year NBA veteran, Bazley last played in the league with the Utah Jazz near the end of the 2023/24 season.
He spent most of his NBA tenure with the Oklahoma City Thunder before being traded to the Phoenix Suns in February 2023.
Bazley later joined the Brooklyn Nets on a training camp deal but was waived before the season began.
He spent much of the following year in the G League, eventually earning a 10-day contract with Philadelphia and then finishing the season with Utah on a rest-of-season agreement.
The former 23rd overall pick in the 2019 draft began last season in China with the Guangdong Southern Tigers.
He left the team in November 2024 and split the remainder of the year between the Delaware Blue Coats and Leones de Ponce in Puerto Rico.
Bazley tried to revive his NBA career last summer by playing for the Los Angeles Lakers’ Summer League team, but he suffered a serious right leg injury in Las Vegas and was taken off the court in a wheelchair.
This agreement appears to be his first contract since that injury.
