Warriors center Kristaps Porzingis has been medically cleared to play in tonight’s game at Oklahoma City, according to Brett Siegel of Clutch Points.

It will be only his second appearance since Golden State acquired him from Atlanta at the trade deadline.

Head coach Steve Kerr said Porzingis will be eased back into action with a limited workload. Kerr expects him to play about 15-20 minutes.

Porzingis has been dealing with a lingering illness for much of the season, but progress became evident when he was able to travel with the team on its current road trip.

After missing Thursday’s game in Houston, he was upgraded to questionable and has now been cleared to return.

Kerr expressed optimism about his recovery prior to that contest.

“It’s great that he’s here and great that he’s feeling well enough to be on the trip,” Kerr said.

Golden State acquired Porzingis to help replace lost scoring after Jimmy Butler suffered a season-ending ACL tear.

He made his team debut on February 19 against Boston, recording 12 points in 17 minutes.

Porzingis’ health issues began last season when he was diagnosed with postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome, a condition that drained his energy and, along with other injuries, limited him to 17 games before the trade.
