The Philadelphia 76ers and Atlanta Hawks will face off Saturday at 6:00 PM ET at State Farm Arena, with both teams entering the game with notable injury concerns.
The 76ers will be without Joel Embiid (right oblique strain), Paul George (league suspension), and Johni Broome (right knee surgery recovery). VJ Edgecombe remains doubtful due to a lumbar contusion, while Kelly Oubre Jr. is available after recovering from a left knee injury.
Philadelphia will rely heavily on Tyrese Maxey, who is averaging 28.9 points, 6.7 assists, and 4.2 rebounds per game this season. Kelly Oubre Jr.’s 14.3 points and 4.7 rebounds per game will be crucial if Edgecombe cannot play. The team has won one of its last two games, defeating the Utah Jazz 106-102 before a 91-131 loss to the San Antonio Spurs.
Atlanta’s injury list features Jonathan Kuminga as questionable with left knee inflammation. RayJ Dennis, Keshon Gilbert, and Asa Newell are all listed as doubtful due to G League assignments or two-way designations. The Hawks will depend on Jalen Johnson, averaging 22.7 points and 10.5 rebounds, and Dyson Daniels, who contributes 11.4 points and 6.6 rebounds per game.
The Hawks have won five of their last six, including a 131-113 victory over the Milwaukee Bucks on March 4. Atlanta also holds a perfect record against Philadelphia this season, sweeping all three previous meetings, including a 142-134 double-overtime win at the Wells Fargo Center on November 30.
Saturday’s matchup carries playoff implications, as Philadelphia currently sits sixth in the Eastern Conference with a 34-28 record. Atlanta trails closely at ninth with 32-31 and is looking to strengthen its positioning in the final weeks of the regular season.
