The Utah Jazz will be without five key players when they visit the Philadelphia 76ers on Wednesday, March 4, at Xfinity Mobile Arena.
Jaren Jackson Jr., Lauri Markkanen, Walker Kessler, Jusuf Nurkic, and Vince Williams Jr. are all sidelined due to injuries, leaving the Jazz short-handed in the frontcourt and at center.
Philadelphia will also be missing significant contributors, including Joel Embiid, Kelly Oubre Jr., Johni Broome, and VJ Edgecombe due to injuries, with Paul George suspended.
The 76ers’ lineup will rely heavily on Tyrese Maxey, who is averaging 29.0 points, 6.7 assists, and 4.2 rebounds per game this season.
Markkanen leads the Jazz in scoring at 26.7 points per game, but his hip impingement rules him out for tonight’s matchup. Keyonte George (23.9 PPG) will need to shoulder the scoring load along with Isaiah Collier and Ace Bailey as Utah looks to stop a six-game losing streak.
Both teams are coming off losses. The Jazz fell to the Denver Nuggets 125-128 at home on March 2, and the New Orleans Pelicans 105-115 four days earlier.
Philadelphia lost 91-131 to the San Antonio Spurs on March 3, following a 98-114 defeat at the Boston Celtics.
These results leave both teams in the lower tier of playoff contention, with the 76ers holding a 33-28 record and Utah sitting at 18-43.
