After missing more than a month with a knee sprain, the Los Angeles Lakers rookie Adou Thiero has begun to show encouraging signs during his time in the G League.

Playing for the South Bay Lakers, the second-round pick recorded a combined 33 points and 14 rebounds across two games late last month.

Thiero was recalled by the Lakers over the weekend and saw brief action against Sacramento, finishing with three points, one rebound and one assist in four minutes.

“I’m just going out there, keep getting comfortable with the game, the pace, just trying to work on things that I need to develop and be better at,” Thiero told Benjamin Royer of the Orange County Register.

“Just trying to get 1% better every day, just keeping that mindset and just knowing that, … there’s a bigger picture. So just making sure I’m ready for that day, when that day comes.”

Thiero has played 1 season for the Lakers. He has averaged 5.7 minutes in 18 regular-season games.
