Los Angeles Lakers rookie Adou Thiero has been diagnosed with a right MCL sprain, the team announced, and will be re-evaluated in approximately four weeks.

The 21-year-old has appeared in 15 games this season, averaging 1.3 points and 1.2 rebounds in 5.8 minutes per game.

Thiero’s absence comes as the Lakers hold a 20-11 record, riding strong performances from Luka Doncic and Austin Reaves. Doncic leads the team with 33.5 points, 8.2 rebounds, and 8.7 assists per game, while Reaves contributes 26.6 points and 5.2 assists.

The Lakers’ veteran core, including LeBron James, Deandre Ayton, and Rui Hachimura, continues to anchor the lineup. James is averaging 20.3 points in 32.9 minutes per game, while Ayton posts 14.6 points and 8.6 rebounds.

Thiero has played a limited role this season, appearing off the bench in short stints.
