Norman Powell is set to miss at least one week with a right groin strain, the Miami Heat announced on Friday.

The injury was confirmed after Powell underwent an MRI, which revealed a Grade 1 strain, with Powell listed as week-to-week as he begins recovery and treatment.

The absence comes as a setback for Miami, as Powell has been one of the team’s most consistent offensive contributors and a key scoring option in the rotation.

The player is averaging 22.5 points on the season. The Heat are 22-16 when Powell scores at least 19 points.

The Heat are set to play seven out of their next eight games at home.
