Keegan Murray exited the Sacramento Kings’ 128-97 loss to the Houston Rockets on Wednesday night after suffering an ankle injury early in the first quarter.

The issue involves the same ankle Murray previously injured on January 4, an injury that forced him to miss 20 games before making his return to the lineup last week.

The early exit raised concerns given the recent nature of his recovery, though head coach Doug Christie said there were no immediate updates available regarding Murray’s condition following the game.

Before the setback, Murray had been working his way back into rhythm after the extended absence.

On the season, he is averaging 14.0 points and 5.7 rebounds per game as a key contributor in Sacramento’s rotation.
