Washington Wizards big man Anthony Davis has not yet made his debut with Washington as he continues recovering from a hand injury, but the veteran star is already optimistic about how he fits within the team’s roster.

Speaking with Wes Hall of Monumental Sports Network, Davis shared his enthusiasm about the group’s potential and how his skill set could complement several key teammates once he returns to action.

The player expressed particular excitement about playing alongside Trae Young, believing their offensive abilities could create major problems for opposing defenses.

He said the pairing has the potential to become a “dynamic duo” on offense, combining scoring, playmaking, and inside-out versatility.

He also highlighted his anticipation of forming a defensive partnership with former No. 2 overall pick Alex Sarr.

Davis praised the young big man’s length, mobility, and rim-protection instincts, suggesting their combination could anchor Washington’s defense moving forward.

“On the defensive end, it’s going to be insane,” the former Laker said, lauding the young Frenchman for his versatility and rim protection.

Davis has played 14 seasons for the Pelicans, Lakers, and Mavericks. He has averaged 24.0 points, 10.7 rebounds, 2.6 assists, and 2.3 blocks in 807 regular-season games.

He was selected to play in 10 All-Star games, and has won 1 NBA championship.
