Orlando Magic head coach Jamahl Mosley lauded his team’s effort in Sunday’s 111-109 victory over the Los Angeles Clippers. “I’m extremely proud of these guys… what we did, the effort we put, guys playing major minutes… it took the entire group,” Mosley said, highlighting the contributions across the roster.

Mosley singled out Desmond Bane for his impact in tight moments. “You cannot say enough about Desmond Bane. He is just a flat-out winner… beat up, banged up, he does it, it doesn’t matter. He’s going to find a way to will his team to a win,” Mosley explained, emphasizing Bane’s leadership both on and off the court.

The coach also praised the team’s defensive and rebounding adjustments. “Wendell coming up with those big rebounds down the stretch… Anthony Black’s defense was big time at times… everybody contributed,” Mosley noted, crediting the collective effort for the win.

Addressing learning opportunities from end-of-game situations, Mosley reflected, “Mathurin had a shot at the end… our ability to continue to grow and learn from that is going to be key… we’ll sit down, watch these end-of-game scenarios… we’ve got to keep learning.”

Tristan da Silva’s growth since last season drew Mosley’s attention. “Tristan was really good for us tonight… sitting down and taking defensive matchups… all those things play a factor, but he’s done a great job of staying the course… these guys really respond to him when he’s on the floor,” the coach said.

Mosley emphasized the importance of rest and preparation for upcoming matchups. “We’ve got the Lakers on Tuesday… very important we just get our rest more than anything… this is a building block for our guys, the chemistry, the camaraderie,” he explained.

Orlando relied on Bane’s 36 points and Paolo Banchero’s 16 points and eight assists to secure the win. Wendell Carter Jr. added 15 points and 14 rebounds, while Tristan da Silva chipped in 13 points off the bench. The Magic improved to 29-26 and remain eighth in the Eastern Conference.

The Magic will face the Los Angeles Lakers on Tuesday, aiming to build on their strong road performance and continue growing through challenging matchups.
