Ex-NBA centers Bol Bol and Kylor Kelley, both active in the league last season, are set to play overseas in the Philippine Basketball Association’s upcoming Commissioner’s Cup, according to Marc Stein of The Stein Line.
Bol will play for TNT Tropang 5G, the defending Commissioner’s Cup champions, the team announced on social media.
The 44th overall pick in the 2019 draft, Bol appeared in 202 NBA games across six seasons with Denver, Orlando, and Phoenix, averaging 6.2 points and 3.5 rebounds in 13.6 minutes per game.
He played 36 games for the Suns last season, making 10 starts.
Despite his rare ball-handling and shooting ability for a 7’3″ player, defensive limitations have made it difficult for him to secure a consistent NBA role.
Kelley will join the Converge FiberXers, another PBA team, writes Justine Bacnis of the Tiebreaker Times.
Undrafted in 2020, Kelley has played in the G League and overseas leagues before spending part of last season with Dallas on a two-way deal and signing two 10-day contracts with New Orleans, appearing in 11 NBA games.
He recently received a buyout from the South Bay Lakers to pursue the move.
The Commissioner’s Cup is scheduled to begin next month.
