The Los Angeles Lakers have signed 7-foot center Kylor Kelley, adding frontcourt depth before the 2025-26 NBA season.
Kelley, 27, played in 11 games last season with the New Orleans Pelicans and Dallas Mavericks, averaging 3.1 points and 3.5 rebounds in 11.5 minutes per game. In his first career NBA start for Dallas on February 2 against Cleveland, he posted a 12-point, 11-rebound double-double with one block.
The big man brings significant G League experience, having appeared in 108 games across four seasons with the South Bay Lakers, Maine Celtics, Raptors 905, and Austin Spurs. He averaged 8.3 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 2.0 blocks while shooting efficiently around the rim.
With South Bay last season, Kelley delivered his best campaign, averaging 11.5 points on 68.2 percent shooting, 7.3 rebounds, and 2.4 blocks in 32 appearances. His defensive presence earned him a spot on the 2024 NBA G League All-Defensive Team after leading the league in blocks per game.
Kelley has also played internationally in Canada, Denmark, and England.
At the collegiate level, the Oregon State product built his reputation as a shot-blocking specialist. He averaged 11.1 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 3.5 blocks in his senior season while earning back-to-back Pac-12 All-Defensive Team honors.
