There is still no official timetable for the Boston Celtics star Jayson Tatum’s return as he continues recovering from an Achilles tear, though recent developments have provided reasons for optimism.

One positive step forward came when Tatum participated in a five-on-five scrimmage with the Celtics’ G League affiliate, signaling progress in his rehabilitation process.

Teammate Jaylen Brown recently shared a cautiously positive assessment of Tatum’s condition, offering encouragement while acknowledging that the recovery remains ongoing.

“In terms of what I’ve seen, he looks pretty damn good,” Brown said, according to ESPN’s Dave McMenamin (via Twitter).

Tatum has played 8 seasons for the Celtics. He has averaged 23.6 points, 7.3 rebounds, and 3.8 assists in 585 regular-season games.

He was selected to play in 6 All-Star games, and has won 1 NBA championship.
